About Us

Hi guys! We’re Angie and Christine, the co-authors of this little blog, angieandchris! We are both high school students, and we basically came into being because we both shared a love (a really intense love) for food and we both had the desire to share it. Balancing a high school schedule and a blog can sometimes be a lot of work, but we somehow manage.Β  We focus more on simpler recipes, seeing as we don’t have too much time to spend in the kitchen (as much as we would enjoy to spend the whole day in there), and we definitely have a bit of a sweet tooth. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! I’m Christine (or Chris), and I’m one of the co-authors. I’m the one who asked Angie to join me in this endeavor and thank God she agrees because this definitely wouldn’t have been possible without her. I have wanted to try my hand at this food blogging thing for a while now, so a couple months ago I decided to just go ahead to take a shot at it.

I live in SoCal, and I absolutely love everything about this place, except for maybe the bipolar weather. Eighty degrees in December, really? I’m really much more of a cold weather person, I live for the holiday season. I love baking, although the exactness of it reminds me a little too much of chemistry. I’m in a love-hate relationship with running, and I run cross country as well as marathons (my constant baking probably does not lend well to me breaking my PRs, but oh well, I wouldn’t be able to live without a little sugar and butter). When school isn’t eating up all my time, you’ll probably find me meddling in the kitchen or drooling over someone else’s blog. I’m addicted to cookie butter, acai bowls, and boy bands (oops.) I’m also a self-proclaimed carbaholic. And that about covers it.

Angie:
Hi guys!! I’m Angie one of the co-authors for this blog. It all started when Christine invited me to create this food blog with her πŸ™‚ I absolutely love baking, and with Christine’s help I was ecstatic about starting! I hope that through this food blog people will be able to recreate scrumptious treats that are both unique and easy to do! Although I do not particularly enjoy eating sweets myself(I don’t even eat chocolate! It’s a shame I know), I assure you that my love for baking and my mom’s discerning palate will taste test all the goods and will be able to bring you many delicious recipes.
Personally, much of my time is consumed by academics, tennis, or church activities. However, I feel that in the daily hustle and bustle of life there must ALWAYS be time for a little baking πŸ™‚ In fact, I feel as if the time and energy spent in baking relieves stress and helps my cramped brain relax and breathe. While I believe in hard work in order to achieve one’s goals, I don’t believe in overworking to the point of anxiety and exhaustion. As it is in life, baking should be a balance of sweet and tart, hot and cold, but always, always 100% delicious ^___^
